TMJ Dysfunction

TMJ dysfunction, also known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMD, refers to a group of conditions that affect the temporomandibular joint and muscles surrounding the jaw.

TMJ dysfunction can limit your movement in the jaw joint and surrounding muscles, which can manifest as headaches, facial pain and jaw-clicking. It’s most commonly caused by stress, tension, and teeth-grinding, so if you often experience it during (or after) an stress-inducing period, know that you’re not alone.

We’ve developed the ANOTHER DIMENSION facial treatment to focus on addressing muscular tension while promoting relaxation. During this treatment, we’ll spend some time relaxing the muscles in your jaw, reducing stress, improving your circulation (which will, in turn, deliver oxygen and nutrients to the jaw muscles), and providing temporomandibular joint relief.
